I've just spent the weekend on a houseboat on the Hawkesbury! I confess I found it pretty nerve-wracking, all that water all around us, and sometimes the boat moved!
Scary stuff walking out onto what they told me was the poop deck, although I didn't feel up to using it, far too public. 
Instead we had to Go Ashore three times a day in this tiny little corracle called a Tinnie! I called it the Wee Boat.
